As we age, the effects of gravity, the sun, and your particular genetics affect the quality and texture of your skin. A facelift can help improve the overall appearance of your face leaving you with a natural and rejuvenated appearance with the goal of never having that ", pulled look."

A facelift is a suspensory operation that will elevate the soft tissue of your face. The deep connective tissue of your face, also known as the SMAS, is repositioned to improve the appearance of your cheeks and jawline. In most cases, a facelift is combined with a neck lift. The neck lift is performed through the same incisions as the facelift with the addition of a small incision in the fold beneath your chin. This incision gives access to the muscular bands in the neck that may require tightening.

There are many different facelift techniques. Dr. Michaels will perform a complete evaluation of your face and individualize the procedure to your specific needs. During your evaluation, Dr. Michaels may also discuss the need for other procedures necessary to rejuvenate your face. These procedures include eyelid surgery, brow lifting, liposuction of the neck, and autologous fat grafting (fat transfer).
